Eastside People is a professional services organisation operating in a hybrid working model. The business relies on Microsoft 365 and dependable IT support to enable secure collaboration, maintain productivity, and support daily operations across office and remote working environments.
Eastside People was preparing to transition from its existing IT support provider at the end of the current contract term. Its Microsoft 365 environment was already in use, with management responsibilities shared between internal oversight and an outsourced IT provider, so the onboarding needed to be handled carefully to preserve continuity and minimise disruption. The business also needed a clearer view of its existing setup, including licensing and administration, while putting in place the right tools for remote support and server management.
We designed a structured onboarding process aligned to the agreed transition date, beginning with a survey of the single office location and consideration of the needs of a hybrid workforce. We reviewed the Microsoft 365 environment where possible to build a clearer understanding of configuration, licensing, and current management responsibilities. To support ongoing service delivery, the onboarding included ScreenConnect for remote access and RMM deployment on servers to improve visibility, monitoring, and proactive support. We also identified the need for dedicated Salesforce backup and proposed a separate Datto Spanning solution as part of the wider resilience picture.
This approach gave Eastside People a more organised path into managed support, with a transition plan built around continuity and operational readiness. The Microsoft 365 review created a stronger basis for future support and governance, while the planned deployment of remote support and server monitoring tools improved the foundation for responsive service delivery. By also addressing wider backup considerations, the onboarding helped ensure that business-critical systems were supported by a more complete and resilient IT service model.
